Cannot Install Ezonics USB camera

I am trying to install Ezonics EZCam on my windows 2000 operating system. Since it is a old camera , Ezonics does not have a driver for windows 2000 however i got a 3rd party driver.
The problem is when i try adding my USB camera , first off all the system does not detect my camera , secondly when i try instally on my own i get only 2 options COM1 & LPT and no USB option.
Also when I go to DEVICE MANAGER/ USB , i have no YELLOW EXCLAMATIONS but it says UNSUPORTED VIA USB Universal Host Controller.
The help would be highly appreciated.

I would start by installing the latest VIA drivers for your chipset and W2K.

As to drivers, if your 3rd partry driver doesn’t work after installing the VIA drivers, check http://www.driverguide.com for a posted driver.

I picked up an IO Magic USB camera at Office Max for $15 a while back. It does have full W2K support. I think it is built better than the Ezonics camera that I have too.

In Win2K you may have to go into your BIOS setup to actually activate the USB port. Once you activate it in the BIOS and reboot, you’ll be able to plug devices into it.
