    Export/import custom ribbons

I have Office 2010 on my home computer and have created my own ribbons in Word and Excel. My employer will be updating soon to Office 2010. I need to know if I can export/import my customized ribbons from my home computer to my work computer. Also, if I can, will it affect any of the add-in ribbons such as MacPac and Docxtools that my employer uses?

in one of the office programs (word, excel, etc) click on File, Options. In the window that appears click on Customize Ribbon tab and then on the right side of window click on Import/Export and select Export all customizations. Choose the location to save it to and give it a name. Since you are moving it to another computer you may want to save it to a flash drive. Now on the computer you want those customizations on, either copy the file to that computer or insert the flash drive. Open one of the Office programs, click on File, Options, Customize Ribbon and this time choose Import customization file. Browse to where the file is located and select Open. Click Yes in the Confirmation window and you are done. This will overwrite all current settings in the Office programs. I do not know if this will change anything for add-in ribbons.
